Ideal Material Selection

CNC machining Material

Pick a material on the left to see how it behaves on the machine, which processes it suits, and the tolerance band we can hold for it.

Aluminum CNC Machining

Aluminum removes fast, holds a stable dimension once cut, and delivers a strong strength-to-weight result — which is why it carries most prototype work and a large share of production parts. It also anodizes and coats cleanly, so cosmetic housings and brackets finish as well as they function.

Machinable Forms
Plate, bar, extrusion, billet
Surface Finish Options
Anodizing, bead blasting, polishing, powder coating
CNC Machining Advantages
High cutting speed, excellent dimensional stability, smooth surface finish
Typical Applications
Aerospace structures, enclosures, brackets, automotive parts

Lead Time
3–5 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, tapping
Tolerance Capability
Up to ±0.005 mm on critical features

Copper CNC Machining

Copper moves heat and current better than almost anything else on the shelf, so it is the default answer for busbars, heat-transfer blocks and current-carrying hardware. It cuts soft and gummy, which makes controlled feeds and sharp tooling the difference between a clean face and a torn one.

Machinable Forms
Rod, plate, tube
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, plating, natural finish
CNC Machining Advantages
Excellent conductivity, good corrosion resistance
Typical Applications
Electrical connectors, busbars, heat sinks
Available Grades
C101, C110, C102
Lead Time
4–6 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm depending on geometry

Titanium CNC Machining

Titanium buys you load-carrying strength at roughly half the weight of steel, plus body compatibility that makes it the material of record for implants. It also fights back — heat concentrates at the cutting edge and tools wear quickly — so we run it slow, keep it flooded, and treat tool paths as an engineering decision rather than a scheduling one.

Machinable Forms
Bar stock, plate, forging, titanium casting
Surface Finish Options
Anodizing (Type II/III), PVD coating, bead blasting, passivation
CNC Machining Advantages
High fatigue resistance, non-magnetic, maintains strength at high temperatures
Typical Applications
Surgical implants, turbine blades, deep-sea hardware, racing components
Available Grades
Grade 2 (Pure), Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), Grade 23 (ELI)
Lead Time
7–12 business days
Supported CNC Services
5-axis CNC milling, Swiss turning, EDM, deep-hole drilling
Tolerance Capability
Standard ±0.01mm; Precision ground to ±0.005mm

Bronze CNC Machining

Bronze earns its place in sliding contact: it shrugs off wear, runs with little friction against a shaft, and resists corrosion in wet or marine surroundings. That combination keeps it in bushings, bearings and seawater-exposed hardware.

Machinable Forms
Bar, plate, casting, tube
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, plating, natural patina
CNC Machining Advantages
Good wear resistance, low friction, corrosion resistant
Typical Applications
Bushings, bearings, marine hardware, sculptures

Lead Time
4–7 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm for standard machining

Steel CNC Machining

Carbon steel remains the workhorse where load, shock and cost all matter at once. It takes structural sections, tooling bodies and stressed brackets in its stride, and it responds predictably to heat treatment and coating afterwards.

Machinable Forms
Plate, bar, tube, forging
Surface Finish Options
Black oxide, plating, powder coating, painting
CNC Machining Advantages
High strength, good wear resistance, versatile applications
Typical Applications
Structural components, tooling, automotive parts, machinery

Lead Time
5–8 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, threading
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm with proper setup

Stainless Steel CNC Machining

When a part has to survive moisture, washdown chemicals and years of service without a coating to hide behind, stainless is the specification. It machines tougher than aluminum and demands rigid setups and disciplined coolant, but it delivers strength and corrosion resistance in the same piece of metal.

Machinable Forms
Bar, plate, tube
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, passivation, brushing, electropolishing
CNC Machining Advantages
High strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance
Typical Applications
Medical devices, food equipment, marine components
Available Grades
304, 316, 303, 17-4PH
Lead Time
5–8 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, threading
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm achievable on precision parts

Alloy Steel CNC Machining

Adding chromium, nickel or molybdenum to steel shifts its behaviour on purpose: more hardenability, more toughness, better fatigue life under cycling load. Gears, shafts and high-strength fasteners are the natural home for it, usually paired with heat treatment after machining.

Machinable Forms
Bar, plate, forging, billet
Surface Finish Options
Heat treatment, plating, black oxide, grinding
CNC Machining Advantages
High strength and hardness, good fatigue resistance
Typical Applications
Gears, shafts, high-strength fasteners, automotive components
Available Grades
4340, 8620, 4130, 4140
Lead Time
6–9 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, heat treatment, grinding
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm achievable with post-machining treatments

Magnesium CNC Machining

Magnesium is the lightest structural metal you can put on a machine, which makes it the choice when every gram is being counted — aerospace brackets, handheld housings, motorsport parts. It cuts freely and fast; the discipline it demands is in chip handling and fire-safe practice, not in the cutting itself.

Machinable Forms
Plate, bar, casting
Surface Finish Options
Anodizing, painting, plating, chemical treatment
CNC Machining Advantages
Extremely lightweight, good strength-to-weight ratio, excellent machinability
Typical Applications
Aerospace components, automotive parts, electronics enclosures
Available Grades
AZ31B, AZ91D, AM60B
Lead Time
4–7 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling
Tolerance Capability
±0.02 mm with careful handling

Brass CNC Machining

Brass is the easiest copper alloy to machine and one of the few materials that looks finished the moment it leaves the spindle. Valves, fittings and instrument-grade hardware use it for exactly that reason: predictable cutting plus an appearance worth polishing rather than covering.

Machinable Forms
Rod, plate, tube, casting
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, plating, lacquering, natural finish
CNC Machining Advantages
Excellent machinability, good corrosion resistance, attractive appearance
Typical Applications
Valves, fittings, decorative hardware, musical instruments
Available Grades
C360, C260, C464, C385
Lead Time
3–6 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, tapping
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm for standard features

ABS CNC Machining

ABS is inexpensive, forgiving on impact and dimensionally steady, which makes it the sensible first pass for enclosures and functional plastic parts. It machines quickly and can be sanded, painted or textured to stand in for a moulded production part.

Machinable Forms
Sheet, rod, block
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, painting, texturing
CNC Machining Advantages
Easy machining, low cost, stable dimensions
Typical Applications
Housings, enclosures, prototypes
Available Grades
General ABS, flame-retardant ABS
Lead Time
2–4 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning
Tolerance Capability
±0.02 mm depending on geometry

Nylon (PA) CNC Machining

Nylon brings strength, abrasion resistance and a low-friction surface to parts that rub, roll or slide — gears, bushings, rollers. It does absorb moisture and moves slightly as it does, so we plan for that in the tolerance stack instead of pretending it is not happening.

Machinable Forms
Sheet, rod, tube, block
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, dyeing, tumbling
CNC Machining Advantages
High strength, good wear resistance, low friction
Typical Applications
Gears, bushings, rollers, insulators
Available Grades
PA6, PA66, PA12, glass-filled nylon
Lead Time
3–5 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling
Tolerance Capability
±0.02 mm depending on moisture content

Polycarbonate (PC) CNC Machining

Polycarbonate gives you a see-through part that refuses to shatter. Guards, lenses and light covers use it where glass would be fragile and acrylic too brittle, and because it is machinable rather than moulded, single units stay economic.

Machinable Forms
Sheet, rod, block, tube
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, flame polishing, anti-scratch coating
CNC Machining Advantages
High impact resistance, optical clarity, good dimensional stability
Typical Applications
Protective shields, lenses, light covers, medical devices
Available Grades
General purpose, UV resistant, flame retardant
Lead Time
3–6 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, engraving
Tolerance Capability
±0.02 mm for clear parts

PEEK CNC Machining

PEEK holds its shape and its mechanical strength where ordinary plastics would fail — high temperature, aggressive chemistry, repeated sterilisation. That puts it in aerospace, implant and semiconductor hardware, and it prices accordingly, so nesting and tool-path efficiency directly affect what your part costs.

Machinable Forms
Rod, plate, tube, film
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, as-machined, coating
CNC Machining Advantages
High temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance, high strength
Typical Applications
Aerospace components, medical implants, semiconductor parts
Available Grades
Unfilled, carbon-filled, glass-filled
Lead Time
5–10 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, precision machining
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm achievable for critical dimensions

PTFE CNC Machining

PTFE is chemically inert and almost frictionless, which is exactly what seals, gaskets and lab hardware need. It is also soft and prone to creeping under load, so we cut it with light passes and design clearance for the material's movement rather than against it.

Machinable Forms
Sheet, rod, tube, film
Surface Finish Options
As-machined, skiving, etching
CNC Machining Advantages
Excellent chemical resistance, very low friction, high temperature stability
Typical Applications
Seals, gaskets, insulators, laboratory equipment
Available Grades
Virgin PTFE, filled PTFE (glass, carbon, bronze)
Lead Time
4–8 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, skiving, stamping
Tolerance Capability
±0.02 mm due to material flexibility

POM CNC Machining

POM — acetal, or Delrin on most drawings — is the engineer's plastic for precision moving parts. It holds tolerance far better than most polymers, slides against metal without lubricant, and machines cleanly enough to be tapped, bored and finished in one setup.

Machinable Forms
Rod, plate, tube, block
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, tumbling, as-machined
CNC Machining Advantages
Low friction, excellent dimensional stability, good wear resistance
Typical Applications
Gears, bearings, rollers, precision parts
Available Grades
Homopolymer, copolymer, glass-filled
Lead Time
3–5 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling
Tolerance Capability
±0.01 mm for stable geometries

PMMA CNC Machining

PMMA, sold as acrylic, gives you glass-like clarity with a fraction of the weight and far better weathering. Signs, display parts and protective barriers use it because it machines and polishes to a genuinely transparent edge, indoors or out.

Machinable Forms
Sheet, rod, tube, block
Surface Finish Options
Polishing, flame polishing, coating
CNC Machining Advantages
Excellent optical clarity, good weather resistance, easy to machine
Typical Applications
Signage, displays, lenses, protective barriers
Available Grades
Cast acrylic, extruded acrylic, impact modified
Lead Time
3–6 business days
Supported CNC Services
CNC milling, CNC turning, laser cutting, engraving
Tolerance Capability
±0.02 mm for transparent parts

Please note: stock availability, grade options and achievable tolerances shift with part geometry and order volume. Send us the drawing and our engineering team will confirm the right material and flag any manufacturability risk before you commit.

Our Competitive Advantages

What Working With Us Actually Gets You

01

Surface Finishing Under One Roof

Bead blasting, anodizing, powder coating, passivation, polishing and electroplating are coordinated by the same team that machines the part, so appearance and function are settled before the job ships instead of after.

02

Schedules You Can Plan Around

Standard orders run on a 7-day rhythm and urgent work can be pulled forward to 2 days. We would rather quote a date we can hold than win the order with one we cannot.

03

Tolerances That Stay Put at Volume

Critical features are held to ±0.005 mm, and across long production runs we keep the process centred at ±0.02 mm rather than letting accuracy drift between the first article and the last.

04

Certified Quality Management

Our facility operates an ISO 9001 quality system audited against international standards, with documented inspection records available for every order we ship.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask Us Before Ordering

Straight answers on consistency, material paperwork, confidentiality and what happens if something is not right.

  • Consistency comes from process control and documentation, not from hoping the last inspection catches everything.
First Article Inspection (FAI): the first piece off the machine gets a full dimensional check covering critical dimensions, tolerances and surface finish. Batch production only starts once that article is approved.
In-process sampling: during the run we take periodic dimensional checks tied to the production beat, concentrating on critical features and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
Calibrated instrumentation: calipers, micrometers and CMMs are all under calibration control so the measurement data means something.
Material uniformity: batch orders are drawn from a single material source, and we can issue material certification to prove it.

  • Yes. Depending on what your quality plan requires, we can supply:
Mill Test Certificate (MTC) / Material Certificate — grade, chemical composition and mechanical properties.
Material Standards Compliance — documentation showing adherence to ASTM, EN, JIS or GB standards.
Batch Consistency Statements — confirming every part in a large order came from the same material lot.
Please note: if your project needs third-party testing or a specialised certification, flag it before the quotation stage so we can confirm the lead time and cost impact up front.

  • Yes. We execute NDAs as a matter of course and treat your IP as a core engineering asset rather than an administrative detail.
Unilateral or mutual NDAs can be signed before drawing review or quotation — whichever you prefer.
Controlled data access: your drawings are visible only to the engineering personnel assigned to the project.
No outsourcing, no public display: parts are never used for marketing, sample displays or third-party demonstrations.
No retention or replication: finished parts are not kept or reproduced without your written authorisation.
For engineering-driven customers the design is the product, and we work on that basis.

  • We stand behind our machining and keep the after-sales policy simple enough to actually use:
Immediate response: we react as soon as you raise it. If the non-conformance is traceable to our error, you get a free remake or a full refund.
Corrective action: the issue is logged in our internal process records and root-caused so it does not repeat on your next order.
Solution-oriented: the objective is to get your project back on schedule, not to argue about whose fault it was.

  • Surface treatment: where the finish and its requirements are clearly defined, treatment is quoted as a separate line item or folded into the unit price. Where they are still unconfirmed, it is excluded by default so nobody discovers a surprise later.
Logistics: we quote EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP depending on how you prefer to buy. Freight is normally shown as its own line so you can compare and account for it cleanly.
